Holiday Movie Night Isn’t Complete Without This Treat!
To me, nothing beats snuggling up in a warm blanket, turning on a cheesy Hallmark movie, and grabbing a festive snack like Peppermint Bark Muddy Buddies or Christmas popcorn.
I took two of my all-time favorite treats, muddy buddies and peppermint bark, and mixed them into one simple no bake snack that’s so straightforward my kids can make it.
It’s become a yearly tradition to crank out as many batches as we can while the limited-time Ghirardelli peppermint barks are in stock… and I end up craving them the rest of the year!

Ingredients
| Ingredient | Notes |
|---|---|
| Chex cereal | Use Rice Chex or Chocolate Chex. |
| Peppermint Bark Candies | Make your own or grab some pre-made. |
| Candy Canes | Crush into a fine powder for even coating. |
| Milk Chocolate Chips | Melt in short bursts to avoid burning. |
| Coconut Oil | Thins the chocolate so it coats the cereal evenly. |
| Peppermint Extract | Use peppermint extract, not mint, and adjust to taste. |
| Powdered Sugar | Add to a large bag and shake to coat everything well. |
[quickip]Candy canes or hard peppermint candies are great for this recipe. For quick, even crushing, use a mini food processor or a small blender.[/quicktip]
