Caesar Salad Pizza at Home

Caesar Salad Pizza turns store-bought naan into a cheesy, crunchy base for your favorite salad—dinner done in 30!

Author’s Notes

Salad Meets Pizza and It’s a Whole Thing

This idea was totally inspired by CPK’s California Club—it’s basically a salad on pizza, and honestly, that’s a reliable kind of meal. You know It is satisfying to a good salad, so putting it on pizza? SOLD.

Instead of starting with from-scratch dough, I went with my go-to shortcut: naan. I already rely on my Margherita pizza and pesto pizza versions all the time, and now I’ve got another flavor to add to the rotation.

These Caesar Salad Pizzas are fast, so good, and loved by everyone in my family. Sure, from-scratch crust is fun when there’s time—but on busy nights, these “cheater” pizzas save the day.

Store-Bought Or from-scratch Dressing

It is satisfying to using from-scratch dressing on these Caesar Salad Pizzas—it’s SO good! I usually make a double batch and use it all week. If it’s already made and in the fridge, these pizzas come together so fast.

No time to make it? Grab a fresh, refrigerated Caesar dressing you love—Marzetti’s® is my go-to.

How To Make Caesar Salad Pizza (Tips)

  • Dry the lettuce well: If it’s wet it’ll water down the dressing and make the pizza soggy.
  • Chill the toppings: Cold lettuce and dressing add the best crunch and flavor.
  • Use less cheese: Stick to 1.5 oz per pizza so the naan doesn’t get too heavy.
  • Grate Parmesan finely: A microplane gives the best melt and texture.
  • Eat right away: These pizzas get soggy if they sit too long.

Ingredients

  • 1 batch Caesar salad dressing
  • 1 head romaine lettuce (finely chopped)
  • 1 cup cooked chicken (thinly sliced, see note 1)
  • 1 (8.8-ounce) package naan (2 naans)
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil (divided)

  • Toppings as desired (see note 3)

Method

  1. Make the Caesar dressing and chill until ready to use. OR prepare the salad kit.
  2. Heat oven to 400°F. Place naan on a lined sheet pan. Drizzle with olive oil (about ½ tsp per naan). Bake for 2 minutes, then remove.
