Author’s Notes
The Dinner Everyone’s Talking About!
For a full week straight, I kept seeing versions of this One Pan Dumpling Dinner all over my social media feeds. After grabbing my fourth loaf of Trader Joe’s Focaccia for my new favorite dinner, I finally tossed some of their wontons in my cart too, plus the squiggly noodles I always buy for these beef noodle bowls. (If you’re as Trader Joe’s–obsessed as I am, you’ll love my new collection of Trader Joe’s recipes)
The first version I tried ended up a little too sweet for me, so I played around with it. I added garlic, ginger, some seasonings, and a bit more curry paste. Those tweaks balanced the coconut milk so nicely, but the real secret is Trader Joe’s crunchy chili onion. I’ve tried a lot of chili oils, and honestly, nothing comes even close to this one. If you have a TJ’s nearby, you’ve got to try it!

One Pan Dumpling Dinner Ingredients
| Ingredients | Tip |
|---|---|
| Coconut milk, garlic paste, ginger paste | Use full-fat coconut milk for the best flavor. Ginger and garlic pastes make prep super quick and straightforward. |
| Curry powder, red curry paste, coriander, chili powder, salt, pepper | Adjust the red curry paste to control spice. I like Thai Kitchen’s because it’s milder than many others (so my kids will eat it!) |
| Lime juice, rice vinegar, soy sauce | Fresh lime juice really brightens all the savory flavors. |
| Baby spinach, chicken or pork potstickers | Swap spinach for baby bok choy if you’d like. Pick potstickers you love; Trader Joe’s chicken potstickers are a reliable! |
| Cilantro, green onions, sesame seeds, chili crunch | Chili crunch adds heat, flavor, and texture. Trader Joe’s version is a reliable and balances everything out so well. |
