The Treat That Made My Mom Famous (Well, Kinda)
S’mores Cereal Bars are one of my mom’s signature desserts. She didn’t come up with the recipe (pretty sure it’s from the back of a cereal box), but she’s made them for years and is basically “famous” for them with family and friends.
If you love s’mores, you’ll be hooked—graham cereal, gooey marshmallows, and melty chocolate. They always disappear first at any party.
They’ve been one of a reliable treats for as long as I can remember, and even after way too many over the years, I still don’t think I’ll ever get tired of them!

S’mores Cereal Bars Ingredients
| Ingredient | Tip |
|---|---|
| Graham Cereal | Golden Grahams are classic, but any graham-style cereal works. |
| Mini Marshmallows | Use a fresh, soft bag for the chewiest bars. |
| Milk Chocolate Chips | Use good-quality chocolate for the best flavor and smoothest melt. |
| Butter and Corn Syrup | Keeps the bars soft, gooey, and helps everything stick together. |
| Vanilla and Salt | Adds flavor and balances the sweetness. |

How To Make S’mores Cereal Bars (Tips)
- Grease the pan: Spray well or use parchment so the bars don’t stick.
- Microwave slowly: Heat in short bursts, stirring well each time.
- Don’t press too hard: Gently press the mixture into the pan so bars stay soft.
- Use a big bowl: Mixing is easier (and less messy) in a very large bowl.

Storage
Enjoy S’mores Cereal Bars the day you make them. After that, they start to harden and lose their texture. Skip freezing them, since the marshmallows harden after thawing.
