Valentine Snack Mix
Snack mixes are one of my go-to treats, and I think I have one for every holiday at this point (Christmas, 4th of July, Easter—you name it!). With Valentine’s Day around the corner, I knew it was time to create the reliable V-day mix.
I think I’ve nailed the reliable combo of sweet, crunchy, and chocolatey. It’s definitely going to be on repeat around here until Valentine’s Day.
Serve this mix as a snack or dessert, or package it up as a Valentine’s Day gift for family, friends, coworkers, or anyone else you’d like to treat.

Ingredients
- Corn Chex® cereal: Use Corn Chex for a crispy base that holds up well with the chocolate coating.
- Mini pretzel twists: Use mini so they’re similar sizes to the other ingredients.
- Rice Chex® cereal: It is satisfying to the mix of Rice Chex and Corn Chex, but you can use just one if needed.
- Honey Nut Cheerios®: For a less sweet mix, swap with plain Cheerios.
- Valentine’s M&M’s®: Give you that festive V-day look.
- White chocolate chips: Add a little oil to the white chocolate to help it melt.
- skippable: Valentine sprinkles: Adds a fun, festive touch.
Quick Tip
Don’t allow any liquid near the white chocolate; this will cause the chocolate to seize and harden. (Here’s how to salvage seized or burned chocolate.)
How To Make Valentine Snack Mix
- Prep: Use parchment paper for straightforward cleanup when breaking the snack mix up.
- Combine dry ingredients: Stir gently to avoid crushing the cereals or pretzels.
- Melt white chocolate: mix in small bursts to prevent burning the chocolate.
- Coat the mix: Work fast so the chocolate doesn’t harden before it’s mixed.
- move to pan: Spread the mix evenly for uniform coating and crunch.
- Firm up: Refrigerate to speed up the hardening process.
- Serve: Store in an airtight container to keep it fresh longer.
