Asian Chicken Wraps: crispy chicken, crunchy slaw, and chow mein noodles with an straightforward dressing. Quick, simple, and satisfying!
Asian Chicken Wraps
After one bite of these crispy chicken wraps, my husband said they were the best he’d ever had. The secret? They taste amazing but are super straightforward to make with store-bought crispy chicken strips! Dinner ready in just 11 minutes in the air fryer!
While the chicken cooks, toss some broccoli slaw with a quick 5-ingredient dressing. Add crispy chow mein noodles, peanuts or cashews, and creamy avocado. Then, just assemble the wraps and you’ve got a flavor-packed meal in minutes!

Asian Chicken Wraps Dressing
- Mayo: I like Hellman’s/Best Foods® mayo because it has a strong flavor without being too sweet.
- Dijon Mustard: Use Dijon, not yellow mustard!
- Sesame Oil: Toasted sesame oil is the “secret” ingredient for the satisfying flavor! Look for it in the Asian section of the store. It is satisfying to toasted sesame oil the best!
- Rice Vinegar: This gives the sauce a nice tangy flavor. If it says “rice wine vinegar,” it’s the same thing.
- Honey: Add honey slowly to the sauce, especially if you don’t want it too sweet.

Other Wrap Ingredients
Here are the other ingredients you’ll need for these Asian Chicken Wraps:
- Tortillas: Use thin, white flour tortillas.
- Avocado: A ripe avocado adds a creamy touch. Press gently to check if it’s ripe.
- Peanuts or Chow Mein Noodles: Add these for some crunch. Chow mein noodles are fried egg noodles you can find in the Asian section of the grocery store. It is satisfying to using them in Asian inspired recipes.
Crispy Chicken Tenders
Frozen chicken tenders save time and taste great. Just cook them in the oven or air fryer following the package directions. I like Tyson’s or Bare’s crispy chicken strips.
Air frying is quick, doesn’t need preheating, and gives the best texture. Let them cool a bit before adding to the wraps.
Quick Slaw
For these wraps, I use store-bought broccoli slaw and mix it with the creamy sauce. Broccoli slaw is made with shredded broccoli stalks; it’s crunchy and slightly sweet. You can find it pre-packaged or shred your own with a grater or food processor.

How To Make Asian Chicken Wraps
- Cook Chicken: Air fry or bake the crispy chicken strips as per package instructions.
- Make Dressing: Mix mayo, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and Dijon mustard. Season with salt and pepper.
- Prepare Slaw: Toss the broccoli slaw with the dressing.
- Assemble the wraps: Firstly, lay out the tortillas. Divide the dressed slaw among them, add avocado slices if desired, and place the cooked chicken on top. Sprinkle with chopped peanuts or cashews and chow mein noodles, then roll up the tortillas tightly.
- Enjoy: Cut the wraps in half and then serve while it is hot.

Storage
Asian Chicken Wraps Storage
- Best When Fresh: These wraps taste best right after making. The slaw doesn’t store well once mixed with the sauce.
- Adjust Recipe: You can halve the recipe or make just one wrap to avoid leftovers.
Make Ahead:
- Prepare everything, but keep ingredients separate in the fridge.
- Cook chicken tenders and assemble wraps just before eating.
- Make the dressing ahead and store in a jar. Whisk before using. It stays good for up to a week in the fridge.
