This Is Not Your Basic Deli Sandwich!
I don’t share a ton of sandwich recipes here because most deli-style sandwiches don’t really need one. You grab what you have, stack what you’re craving, and call it good. The exceptions for me are chicken salad, pesto chicken, and sliders. Those always need a recipe.
And this club sandwich recipe earned its spot on that short list. It might look like a classic deli stack, but I’m sharing it because I’m fully obsessed and it gets made on repeat at my house.
You can swap the meats or veggies to your heart’s content, but the real reason this sandwich works is the sauce. It’s the one thing I never skip and the part everyone asks about. Make the sauce, and suddenly this goes from “just a sandwich” to the one people remember and ask you to make again.

Ingredients
| Ingredient | Swap or Tip |
|---|---|
| Bread | White, sourdough, or wheat all work well |
| Center-Cut Bacon | Use thick-cut bacon for extra crunch |
| Smoked Turkey | Roasted turkey breast works great |
| Honey Ham | Black Forest ham is a good swap |
| Muenster Cheese | Monterey Jack or white American both melt well in this club sandwich recipe |
| Romaine Lettuce | Butter lettuce for a softer bite |
| Tomato | Slice thin to keep the bread from getting soggy |
| Honey Mustard Spread | Make extra and serve on the side for dipping your club sandwich recipe |

How To Make This Club Sandwich Recipe
- Sauce: Whisk all sauce ingredients with salt and pepper. Chill while prepping the sandwiches.
- Bacon: Cook until crisp, then drain on paper towels.
- Toast the bread: Toast until the edges turn golden and sturdy.
- Assemble: Spread sauce on both sides of the bread. Layer bacon, lettuce, cheese, tomato, avocado, turkey, and ham.
- Finish and serve: Top with remaining bread and serve right away.
Storage
Wrap assembled sandwiches tightly and refrigerate for up to 2 days. For best results, store the honey mustard spread separately so the bread stays crisp.
