Christmas Brownies Mason Jar Dessert
Growing up, my mom always made from-scratch gifts for neighbors and co-workers, a tradition I’ve tried to carry on.
It is satisfying to brownies, and to me, there’s nothing better than a gift that’s both satisfying and straightforward to enjoy during the busy holiday season.
Gifting someone a mason jar brownie mix they can whip up in minutes for a last-minute treat or holiday gathering is the reliable way to spread some Christmas cheer. So today, I’m sharing how to assemble a truly amazing (and foolproof) brownie gift!
Supplies You’ll Need:
- Mason Jars (Set of 12)
- Wide Mouth Funnel (Makes assembly so much easier!)
- Food Scale
- Red Holiday Ribbon (The exact one I use were purchased from Hobby Lobby)
- Miniature Clothespins
- Mini Wire Kitchen Whisks (Set of 12)

Ingredients In Christmas Brownies
- Sugar: Makes the brownies sweet and soft.
- Unsweetened Cocoa Powder: Sift it first to avoid lumps.
- All-Purpose Flour: Spoon the flour into the measuring cup and level it off so the brownies don’t turn out too dense.
- Baking Powder: Check the expiration date—old baking powder won’t work well.
- Salt: The salt brings out all the other flavors.
- Milk Chocolate Chips: Try dark or white chocolate chips for a fun twist.
- Unsalted Butter: Let it cool a bit before mixing so it doesn’t cook the eggs.
- Eggs: Room-temp eggs blend in better.
- Vanilla Extract: Pure vanilla tastes best.
- Water: Warm water blends better than cold.
