author’s note

These Philly Cheesesteak Sliders Are the First Thing Gone!

I have always loved a good Philly cheesesteak, but making full sandwiches for a crowd can feel like a lot. Sliders solve that problem. They are easier to assemble, easier to bake all at once, and way more fun to serve.

I also just really love sliders in general. Roast beef sliders, classic ham and cheese sliders, and Italian sliders are some of my all time favorites. There is something about soft rolls, melty cheese, and flavorful fillings baked together that gets me every time. They work just as well for parties as they do for an straightforward dinner when I want something comforting without a lot of effort.

I tested these Philly Cheesesteak Sliders a few different ways before landing on this version. I wanted the beef to stay tender, not dry and the veggies soft with a little char. And I wanted the topping to add flavor without making the rolls soggy. Asking the deli for rare roast beef and baking the sliders in stages ended up being the key.

Now this is the version I make on repeat. It is simple, dependable, and always a hit.

All the ingredients in this recipe prepped out for straightforward assembly.
